How to Import DVD to iTunes on Mac OS X or Windows

Step 1: Import DVD disc

A progress bar will display how far along you are in the process, and when the conversion is complete you will see the succeeded status displayed. Typical ripping time may be around a few minutes, but will vary depending on your hardware and size of the disc.

Step 4: Add ripped DVD movies to iTunes
All that remains is to start iTunes. Choose File -> Import iTunes to upload the files into the iTunes window, or directly drag the files into. iTunes will automatically add it to your library and depending on your settings (in iTunes).
You can access the file by going to the 'Movies' sidebar of your iTunes window. From here you can double click on the movie and watch it whenever you want – alleviating the need to carry around your collection!
